Chapter 25:love vs strength

Renado had tried all he could.  And nothing had worked.
He stood up from his chair and walked to the door.  Luda stopped him.
"You are not giving up, are you father?"  Renado paused for 3 seconds then turned around.  He dropped his head, not looking at his daughter as he spoke.
"I apologize.  But there is nothing else I can do."  Renado closed his eyes.
"Link's disease is different, as if something encountered his body, like another soul, that cannot be taken out.  Just like darkness.  it cannot be stopped if there isn't any light around.  It's the same with this.  We need to try everything.  Luda, will you please hand me my holy water."
Luda walked across the room and opened a cabinet at the left.  Carefully she took out a wooden bowl covered with a thin cloth.  she placed it on the table next to her father. Renado uncovered the bowl, and placed his thumb in the holy water.  He slowly ran his finger in a circle pattern on Link's forehead.  then he repeated the process on his chest, and then on his hands.  After he was done, he bowed his head, and was quietly whispering words, the same ones over and over.
"Father! Link's hand moved! It moved!" Luda said happily. Renado opened his eyes and quickly walked over to where Luda was standing.  he was looking at Link's hand, and all of a sudden, his left hand formed into a fist, and then released again.
"He must be having a dream." Said Luda. All of a sudden, he remembered that he would tell Ilia if something was happening with Link.
"Luda, go for Ilia, she needs to know that Link is recovering! Go! run!" Luda nodded and ran outside she ran to the inn, and opened the door.  she quietly tip toed up the stairs, so she wouldn't bother other poeple sleeping there, since it was almost midnight.  She went to Ilia's room, and quietly knocked on the door.
"It's open" said Ilia.  "Come in."  Luda quietly opened the door. And saw Ilia holding the horse charm Link gave her in her hands.
"Ilia, i have good news, we might be able to get Link back!" Ilia jumped from her chair, dropping the necklace.
"really! well then, can I come with you?"  Asked Ilia.
"Yes, that is the reason my father sent me here for." Ilia grabbed a thin, wool sweater laying on her bed, and shut the door behind her.  They both ran down the stairs, and they ran outside without closing the door.  Ilia was running down the gravel road, when she saw the door open in the sanctuary. She saw a tall figure walking out.  She ran even faster, and the figure started to run too, as she got closer she realized that it was Link! Link, that was okay!
"Link! your okay!"  As soon as she ran to Link, Link picked up Ilia in his arms, and kissed her deeply.  Luda smiled behind them, and nodded to Renado, which smiled and nodded back.  link released Ilia from his lips, and hugged her.
"I missed you so much Link! I never thought I would have you back.  You were asleep for so long." Ilia smiled, then Link smiled and started to speak.
"Ive been having strange nightmares the whole time, but now that I'm with you.  They're all gone.  Link kissed Ilia once more, and then hugged her as they slowly walked back home.
